The Priesthood of Believers

We believe that all believers are part of a holy and royal priesthood. Jesus is the one High Priest and the rest of His family comprises the priesthood. As such we all have access to the Father, through the Son, without the need of going through any other mediator. We are all gifted and called to minister before the Lord and to the world. There is no class or hierarchical distinction between us. The different roles, gifts or callings that we have in service are a result of God's choosing and anointing for ministry. God makes no distinction in this priesthood between male or female, young or old, race or nationality. It is a universal call to all who submit to Jesus as Lord and Savior (1 Peter 2:5,9; Revelation 1:5-6; Hebrews 7:11-8:13; Galatians 3:26-29; 1 Timothy 2:5; 1 Corinthians 12:18-20).

Ordinances

We observe two ordinances: The Lord's Supper and Baptism. We practice the Lord's Supper when we gather in both our homes and in public places and invite all believers to participate in remembering and proclaiming the Lord's death until He returns. We recognize the bread and cup to symbolically represent his body and blood that were broken and shed for the forgiveness of our sins. We practice and teach believer's baptism by immersion as a symbol of the believer's participation in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. We believe water baptism is an outward symbol of the baptism of the Spirit that took place at our conversion where we were baptized into the Body of Christ and when our sins were washed away. (Matt 28:18-20; Rom 6:3-4; Col 2:12; 1 Corinthians 11:23-34; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Matt 26:26-29; Luke 22:14-23).

Mission of the Church

As God's people, we have all been recipients of His gracious, divine love. We are sent out by God to love all people. This love for every ethnic and people group compels us to be loving ambassadors and reconcilers of people back to God. We desire to penetrate our communities as light, salt, and yeast with the love of Jesus to bring healing to the sick and wounded, help to the needy, and salvation to those alienated from God. Our call is to make obedient disciples locally and globally, who will be transformed by the Spirit of God as they follow His teachings (Matt 28:18-20; Luke 4:45-49; 2 Corinthians 5:18-21; Luke 4:18-19; John 20:21-23; Matthew 5:13-16 & 13:33).

End Times

We believe in the physical return of Jesus Christ as King to deliver His people and bring about the fulfillment of His Kingdom. Death, disease, sin, and evil will be eliminated. There will be no more mourning, sorrow or tears. He will bring about the final defeat of Satan and all of his works. Jesus will be the judge before which all people must stand and give an account. The righteous will be raised and fellowship with God for eternity. Those who have rejected the Son will be consigned to an eternal separation from God and experience His righteous judgment (Revelation 19:11-20:15; Revelation 21:4; Revelation 22:1-5; 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10; Acts 1:9-10; 1 John 3:8).
